The rules and regulations that stipulate how a corporation, for-profit and not-for-profit, operates. The Bylaws are adopted at the corporations initial meeting and contain provisions such as how directors are elected, how meetings of directors/shareholders are conducted, and other general corporate business. The Bylaws of a company are private and are not typically filed with any state agency.
