With the latest changes due to the Covid-19 situation, the NY Department of State (DOS) Divisions of Corporations, State Records and UCC Customer service counter has closed for all in person service until further notice.
It should be noted, the NY DOS announced this morning that, “the NY DOS will not accept any in person legal process served on the Dept. of State as statuary agent of a corporation or business entity…. For urgent service of process issues, they request you call 518-473-2492 so that arrangements can be made to effectuate service.”
What does this mean for our clients and businesses looking to form or maintain in NY? For the most part we will still be able to form on a 24-hour basis, do un-certified State UCC Searches, obtain Good Standing’s and Certified Copies (if filed in 2002 or later) and provide many of Accumera’s usual services. This will, however, affect the turnaround time for certain paper filed documents, such as authority filings, dissolutions, changes, State Certified UCC Searches, etc., in that we WILL be able to submit them, it will just be a slower transition to the state and receipt back from them.
As things progress, with the situation surrounding Covid-19, we will continue to keep you updated on any changes, closures, etc.
If you have any concerns, questions or need assistance with filings, searches, document requests or any other reason, please don’t hesitate to reach out – either via email, info@accumera.com, or via phone, 518-937-9117! We are still open during our regular hours, 8:30am – 5:30pm Eastern, to assist all of our clients and businesses in need.
