California company formations, terminations, statement of information filings, UCC filings and even CA Business Search functions will be unavailable from 3/19 to 3/29.
The California Secretary of State is re-developing and launching a new Online portal for business entities on March 29, 2022. They will be taking many of their online applications offline in preparation of it’s launch. Verifying name availability and looking up current CA entities will be unavailable during this time period.
Typically most of these filings can take 3-10 business days with the state. CA does not believe this will create further delays after the launch; however, one should take this possibility into consideration for any business related interactions with the state.
