This year marked the first year Mississippi required all LLCs to file an annual report, due by April 15th. Failure to file the annual report results in the company being administratively dissolved. Since this was a new requirement, the Secretary of State granted a one-time grace period, extending the date to December 1, 2011. This allows additional time to file before the state begins the process of administratively dissolving those LLCs that failed to file. NOTE: If your LLC was formed in 2011, you are NOT required to file an annual report until 2012.)
